About ELT

Engineered Lifting Technologies, Inc. designs, engineers, assembles, and tests below-the-hook lifting devices for the construction, materials handling, and wind industries. Headquartered in Western New York, ELT manufactures standard and custom-engineered lifting equipment including:

  • Lifting and spreader beams
  • Personnel and material baskets
  • Coil lifters
  • Pallet lifters
  • Telescopic lifters
  • Forklift attachments
  • Wind tower lifting equipment

ELT prides itself on being ISO 9001:2015 registered and backed by decades of experienced engineering custom lifting solutions. All ELT products are OSHA and ASME compliant and certified with ELT’s state-of-the-art in-house load test machine.

ELT’s engineering team designs each lifting project in collaboration with the customer before it is released to the shop floor. By employing highly-skilled, experienced engineers who efficiently monitor the project from first discussion to final drawings and through manufacturing process.

As a result of extensive experience across all forms of applications and situations, several requests for lifting device design already have partially completed plans available, facilitating rapid turnaround time in getting products into production and off to the customer.

Our lifting device design capabilities include:

  • Significant experience in designing custom lifting solutions for any application
  • Proficient in quality standard below-the-hook lifting devices
  • Consistent communication with customers to determine best solution for them
  • Up-to-date compliance with relevant codes and standards (ASME B30.20 and BTH-1)
  • Exclusive designing with state-of-the art 3D environment (currently run on Autodesk Inventor)
  • Using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software for design verification
  • Verifying the design of all lifters through in-house proof-testing of the load limit capacity

ELT can engineer lifting solutions and corresponding parts for each step of your materials handling process. ELT’s process handling and cutting materials is a more cost-effective and efficient procedure that produces a more high-quality part for lifting devices.

ELT invests heavily in the quality production tools within our cutting and materials handling process for tool production. Employing the latest CAM software (HSM for Inventor) to program a CNC machining center and operate a state-of-the-art high-definition plasma cutting table for cutting complex shapes are one of the ways we’ve proven those efforts.

ELT is a leader in high quality, cost-effective metal fabrication due largely to a very skilled, dedicated workforce who believes that quality fabrication is both an art and a science. The superbly-crafted end products reflect that pride. The planning and production staff are cross-trained in many areas, ensuring project backup and workforce flexibility. With decades of welding experience, the quality of welding is excellent. ELT is a supporting member of the AWS (American Welding Society) and employs an AWS QC-1 Certified Welding Inspector.

Everything that is made at ELT is proof-tested to a minimum of 125% of its load limit capacity to comply with OSHA’s regulations. This applies to all custom products manufactured by ELT as well as our standard products.

“ELT load tests 100% of everything we make.  Even though the code allows for bypassing this test on standard products that have proven their design throughout the years ELT insists on providing this level of quality and assurity of safety and functionality with every lifter we manufacture.”
